Therese Bugnet

Rugosa

This is an outstanding rose! The flower buds are red, paling as they open, eventually becoming a deep rose-pink. The blooms are full and loosely double - each with a button eye, very much like the Old Roses. There is a good rich fragrance, some repeat-flowering and an excellent crop of bright red hips. It forms a large, bushy, quite upright shrub with attractive, elongated, grey-green foliage on deep red stems. Extremely hardy and totally disease resistant. ‘Thérése Bugnet' was bred for the harsh winters of Canada, which it withstands well, but it is equally at home in much warmer areas. 5 x 4ft.
