Late Flowering

A classic, vigorous, easy-to-grow, extremely free flowering clematis and one of our all-time favorites! Large, dramatic crimson flowers with lighter pink center bars, highlighted and centered with bright yellow anthers. An extremely pretty cut flower and stunning twining up any large obelisk, trellis, fence or up and arbor.
Exposure: Sun or part shade.
Bloom Time : Early summer for first bloom flush.
Size: 10-12' High.
Pruning: Best results are achieved by 2 major prunings: 1st in late winter down to 18” followed by a 2nd pruning (by 1/2) after first flush of blooms. Feed a well balanced fertilizer at pruning time.
